Land Use Plan
The Board of Trustees adopted the changes to the Land Use Plan at their meeting on November 3, 2020.

Master Plan
Symmes Township established a Ten Year Comprehensive Master Plan in 2009. Previously the community adopted plans addressing targeted issues such as land use, sidewalks and parks. With the Comprehensive Plan, however, the Township has taken a step back to evaluate the overall community needs.

Zoning Commission
The Zoning Commission reviews zone change requests for recommendation to the Board of Trustees and approves final development plans.

Zoning Permits
Symmes Township contracts with Hamilton County Planning and Development for zoning administration. Therefore, all zoning permits and applications are made through the office of the Hamilton County Planning and Development Department in the County Administration Building located at 138 E. Court Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202.

Zoning Resolution
Zoning in Symmes Township is controlled by the Symmes Township Trustees. A township Zoning Resolution was approved by the voters of Symmes Township in 1996. However, the Symmes Township Trustees have contracted with the Hamilton County Planning & Development Department for zoning administration. Therefore, all zoning permits and applications are made through the office of the Hamilton County Planning and Development Department in the County Administration Building located at 138 E.
