Township Seeking Bids for Home of the Brave Park Improvements

Notice to Bidders

The Board of Trustees of Symmes Township, Hamilton County, Ohio, announced that sealed proposals will be received at the Office of the Board of Trustees of Symmes Township, Hamilton County, Ohio until the 29th day of January, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. for the following Township Project:

  • HOME OF THE BRAVE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 (2019) - Furnishing all necessary labor, material, and equipment of the installation of irrigation, lighting, fencing, dugouts, sidewalks, scoreboard, bleachers, benches and site improvements at Home of the Brave Park.

Bids will publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter on January 29th.  Contract documents, bid sheets, plans and specifications for the work may be obtained at the Township Administration Building, 9323 Union Cemetery Road, Symmes Township, OH 45140-9312.

A pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, January 18th at 10:00 a.m. to go over the plans/bid documents and answer any questions.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a one hundred percent (100%) bid guarantee bond or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit on a solvent bank in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, (the total of the Project) conditioned that the bidder shall, if his bid is accepted, excecute a contract in conformity to the invitation and his bid.

Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope plainly marked "HOME OF THE BRAVE IMPROVEMENTS PHASE 2 (2019)" on the outside of the envelope.  Bidders must use the printed forms provided herein.  Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and Symmes Township as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division.

The successful bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a Corporate Surety Company Bond in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total bid price, conditioned according to law.  Bid bonds or Certified checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon our acceptance of the successful bidder's proposal.

The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept or reject any part thereof.  The contract will be let to the lowest most responsible and responsive bidder.
