LABORER

Symmes Township is accepting applications for a Laborer. This is an entry-level position in the Township’s Service Department. Workers in this classification are responsible for assisting in the maintenance of Township streets, parks, buildings, structures, cemeteries, and vehicles. This position must be available on a 24/7 basis for any emergency situation as well as weekend availability. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Crew Leaders and Director of Public Works. The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent diploma and possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Salary range $18.90 to $21.88 DOQ.

SERVICE WORKER 1

Workers in this classification are responsible for assisting in the maintenance of Township streets, parks, buildings, structures, cemeteries, and vehicles. This position must be available on a 24/7 basis for any emergency situation as well as weekend availability. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Crew Leaders and Director of Public Works. The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent diploma and possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age, have at least 3 years of experience as a service worker and possess a CDL. Salary range $22.75 to $26.34 DOQ. CONSERVATION & PARKS TECHNICIAN MANAGER   

Symmes Township is accepting applications for a Conservation and Parks Technician Manager. This is managerial position in the Township’s Administration Department. Workers in this classification are responsible for planning, managing and may assist in the maintenance of Township Park grounds, trails, equipment facilities and natural areas including the cemeteries. This position may include availability on weekends and as needed for emergencies. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Township Administrator. The successful candidate must be a high school graduate or have an equivalent diploma with at least 3 years of experience, associates or bachelor’s degree in any related field and possess a valid State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. Applicant must be at least 18 years of age. Preference will be given to those who have some related experience with parks, horticulture or with government. The successful applicant must have the ability to get a CDL and pesticide license (category 5, 6 & 8) within 1 year of employment. Salary range $33.30 to $38.55 per hour DOQ.
