EPA Proposing Changes to Standards for Solid Waste Management Districts

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is required by Section 106.03 of the Ohio Revised Code to review the Agency's rules every five years to determine whether to continue the rules without change, amend the rules, or rescind the rules.  Coinciding with the five-year rule review schedule, Ohio EPA adopted a new state solid waste management plan that changed the reduction and recycling goals solid waste management districts must achieve.  The Agency is seeking comments from interested stakeholders who may be impacted by these rule revisions.  General comments are welcome by email at by 5:00 p.m. on April 13th.  To review the plans see below:
