Cleanup Day Offers Recycling Opportunities

Symmes Township and the Loveland Sustainability Council are sponsoring a "One Stop Drop" on Saturday, May 18th from 9:00am to 3:00pm at Hopewell Meadows Park.  This free event, held in conjunction with Cleanup Day, offers residents a convenient way to get rid of trash and other items that they may not need responsibly.

Participants include:

Ohio Valley Goodwill - Furniture, linens, toys/games, books, bicycles, flat screen computer monitors, glassware, purses, clothing, shoes, coats, luggage and flat screen tvs. Due to the high cost of disposal, Goodwill is no longer accepting tube style televisions and CRT computer monitors.  

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati Restore - Furniture, cabinets, doors, lawn & garden, clean mattresses & box springs, electronics (stereos, DVD & CD players), electronic items, appliances (large & small) light fixtures & ceiling fans, hardware & tools, housewares, windows (thermal pane only) and digital televisions.

Matthew 25 Ministries - Usable latex paint

Loveland Sustainability Council - Pill bottles, household batteries, plastic bags and incandescent & CFL light bulbs.  No halogen or fluorescent tubes will be accepted.

Symmes Township - Tires, car batteries, scrap metal items, used motor oil, old appliances and trash

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO HAZARDOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE WILL BE ACCEPTED AT THIS EVENT.  A SEPARATE EVENT WILL BE HELD FOR HAZARDSOUS HOUSEHOLD WASTE AT LOVELAND HIGH SCHOOL ON JUNE 8TH FROM 8:00AM TO 11:00AM.
