Symmes Township provides emergency services with a contract with its partner agencies, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and the Loveland Symmes Fire Department.

Hamilton County Sheriff

Under its contract with the Hamilton County Sheriff, Symmes Township provides deputies and vehicles which are specific and dedicated to Symmes Township, and which are on duty 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

The patrols are headquarted at the Symmes Township Safety Center located at 8871 Weekly Lane, Symmes Township, OH 45249. The Symmes Township deputy patrols operate under the leadership of District Three Area Commander, Lt. Michael Tarr.

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s office provides Township residents with a vast number of special programs and services including Neighborhood Watch, Operation Business Check, Community Oriented Policing, D.A.R.E., Senior Outreach, Vacation Checks and more.

  • Vacation Checks
    • The Hamilton County Sheriff's Patrol can keep an eye on your house while you are on vacation. To arrange for this service call the Sheriff's office at (513)677-7000. 
  • Noise Resolution
    • To help control excessive noise, the Board of Trustees established a resolution aimed at preventing noise pollution within the Township. Excessive noise can come from a number of sources, including construction, car stereos and televisions. The primary target of the Resolution is the hours between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., but the resolution is observed and enforced 24 hours a day. Violators can be fined up to $100 for the first violation and up to $500 for each subsequent violation within two years of the first.
  • False Alarm Resolution
    • Because of a high incidence of false alarms, fines have been established for the fourth and subsequent offenses within a calendar year for any individual property. These fines are as follows:
      • Fourth Offense -$50.00
      • Fifth Offense - $100.00
      • All Other Offenses - $150.00

Northeast Communications Center

Residents have direct access to their public safety providers 24-hours a day, 7-days a week through the Northeast Communications Center. The Center handles calls that don't require an immediate emergency response including: police reports, vehicle lockouts, auto accidents and minor illnesses or injuries. To reach the communications center dial (513)677-7000. Residents should continue to dial "911" when it is an emergency.
