Board of Zoning Appeals

The Board of Zoning Appeals reviews applications for zoning variances, conditional use and appeals. The Board meets the first Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Township Administration Building.

Cases currently for review:

The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet on Monday, November 1, 2021 at 7:00pm at the Safety Services Center, 8871 Weekly Lane, to review the following cases:

  • BZA2021-07 - Review a request from One Stop Signs for variance approval for the construction of a wall sign that is not located facing a public street at 12090 Mason Montgomery Road.  A copy of the plans can be found here.
  • BZA2021-08 - Review a request from David & Melissa Mullikin for variance approval for the construction of a six foot tall solid fence to be located within the front yard at 10127 Elmfield Drive.  A copy of the plans can be found here.

  • BZA 2021-01 - The Board of Zoning Appeals reviewed an application received from Jeff Drasnin for the construction of an accessory structure (pool house) exceeding the height requirements permitted for the property located at 10236 Stablehand Drive. A copy of the plans can be obtained here.
  • BZA 2021-02 - The Board of Zoning Appeals reviewed an application received for the construction of three wall signs, a pole sign and three directional signs for a new Thorntons gas station located at 12156 Montgomery Road.  To view the plans click here.
  • BZA 2021-03 - The Board reviewed a request for variance approval for a detached garage with greater height and area than permitted on the property located at 9436 Union Cemetery Road.   To view the plans, please click here.
  • BZA 2021-04 - The Board of Zoning Appeals reviewed a Conditional Use application for an all-season bubble structure over an existing outdoor pool at Five Seasons, 11820 Snider Road.  Plans can be reviewed here.
  • BZA 2021-05 - Reviewed an application received from Heidi Tucker for a variance request for the construction of an addition to the existing house having less than required front and left side yard setbacks at 9348 Kempergrove Lane. To review the  plans, click here.
  • BZA 2021-06 - Review an application received from Jens Persson for a variance request for the construction of an accessory structure (detached garage) within the front yard at 9699 Loveland Madeira Road. To review the plans, click here.

2020

  • BZA 2020-11 - The Board of Zoning Appeals reviewed an application received from Harji Singh of 11873 Nathanshill Lane for the construction of a six foot tall solid fence to be located within the front and rear yards of a double frontage lot permitted under Section 41, Section 346 and 281 of the Zoning Resolution.  The subject property is located at 11873 Nathanshill Lane (Parcel No. 620-0190-0303).   • BZA 2020-12 - The Board of Zoning Appeals reviewed an application from Mat Walker for the construction of a sign exceeding the square footage and height limitations for the Stonewood subdivision at 10132 Humphrey Road. To see plans click here.
  • BZA 2020-13 - The Board reviewed an application from Jim Burkhart, 631 Loveland Miamiville Road, Loveland for the installation of an in-ground swimming pool within the side yard at 9247 Cactus Lane.  To see the plans please click here.
  • BZA 2020-14 - The Board reviewed an application from Scott Schlotterbeck, 9976 Washington Avenue, Loveland for the construction of an uncovered, unenclosed deck addition with less front yard setback than required at 9976 Washington Avenue.  To see the plans, please click here.
