Patrilla Lane & Reltas Court Sanitary System Project
June 14, 2001 - A public meeting was held with residents to explain the sanitary project and to obtain signatures on a petition to request the County Commissioners to do a cost study.
June 18, 2001 - A letter was sent out to all residents of the neighborhood who did not attend the meeting to see if they were interested in signing the petition.
July 9, 2001 - Petitions were forwarded to Thomas H. Schwiers, MSD.
July 9, 2001 - A letter was sent to the residents to inform them that the Township had obtained a majority of signatures on the petition.
August 15, 2001 - The County Commissioners authorized funding for the design of the project.
December 6, 2001 - A meeting was held between Township officials and Tom Schwiers of MSD to discuss how to proceed with the study. MSD will start the study using plans drawn by Graham Associates and make the necessary changes as needed. This may take 9 months to complete the project.
June 2002 - Preliminary plans completed. Plans being reviewed by MSD.
April 21, 2003 - MSD notified residents that the 20 year assessment for the installation of sewers will be $9,335. There will be an additional cost of $480 for tap-in fees. Each homeowner would be responsible for the cost of connecting to the sewer lines. All residents to vote on this issue by May 5, 2003. Anyone not responding will be considered a "no" vote.
June 2005 - The project is pending final approval of the County Commissioners.
July 19, 2006 - The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners voted to dispose of the objections from residents regarding the issue of tap-in fees and plan to vote on a resolution to proceed with the project at their next scheduled meeting.
August 16, 2006 - A resolution to proceed with the local sewer improvement project was approved by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners.
September 13, 2006 - A resolution to declare the necessity to appropriate easements for the sanitary sewer project was adopted by the Hamilton County Board of Commissioners.
November 7, 2006 - The Board of Trustees adopted Resolution G-0641 Declaring the Necessity of Intention to Appropriate a Sanitary Sewer Easement on Property Located Near Patrilla Lane and Referred to as Kilroy Lane.
April 23, 2008 - A pre-construction meeting was held with the Metropolitan Sewer District on April 23, 2008. Larry Smith Contractors has been awarded the contract to install the the sanitary sewers. The work will begin on May 12, 2008 and should take about 6 months to complete.
October 29, 2008 - The sanitary sewers have been installed. The final restoration process will take place in the spring of 2009.
July 2009 - The final restoration process has been completed.
