Hamilton County Sheriff's Office

Symmes Township is protected by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office (District 3 headquarters). They are located at the Township's Safety Services Center at 8871 Weekly Lane. In addition to basic patrol service, Symmes Township contracts for additional police protection including a dedicated Crime Prevention Officer. The Township owns a fleet of police cruisers which are manned 24 hours a day.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office provides specialized services to the Township including aviation (two helicopters), Traffic Safety, Criminal Investigation and Crime Scene Units, Hazardous Services Unit (bomb squad), Underwater Search and Rescue Unit, Marine Patrol, SWAT team, Crime Prevention Unit, and R.E.N.U (regional narcotics unit). Symmes also has its own mountain bike and motorcycle patrol units.

The Symmes Township Crime Prevention Officer provides Township residents with a vast number of special programs and services including Neighborhood Watch, Community Oriented Policing, D.A.R.E., Senior Outreach, Vacation Checks, and many others.
