Loveland-Symmes Fire Department

Symmes Township contracts with the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department for fire / EMS service.  The Loveland-Symmes Fire Department (LSFD) is one of only six in Ohio to achieve a Class 2 rating from the Commercial Risk Services of the Insurance Services Office, bringing unusually favorable insurance rates for Symmes residents and commercial properties.  There are just 17 Class 1 departments nationwide; none of which are in Ohio.  LSFD has also received the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS), the highest standards in the field.  LSFD is the first private fire and EMS department to be accredited and is one of only two departments (of any kind) in the whole state of Ohio to accomplish it.  This highly trained, nationally accredited LSFD employs a staff of more then forty, operates out of four stations located in strategic areas of Symmes Township and Loveland, and uses the finest and most modern equipment available.
