False Alarms Ordinance

False Burglar Alarms cause much wasted time and effort, can delay police and fire personnel from real emergencies, and costs the taxpayer twice: first by increasing the cost of law enforcement and second by possibly reducing the number of patrol officers on the street.  Because of a high incidence of false alarms, fines have been established for the fourth and subsequent offenses within a calendar year for any individual property. These fines are as follows:

Fourth Offense -$50.00

Fifth Offense - $100.00

All Other Offenses - $150.00
